Dear Friends,
Early this morning as I was rising, I found my granddog lying in the light of the setting Full Wolf Moon. He was bathing in the moonlight so gracefully, positioned perfectly toward the window facing this gorgeous Super Moon—the first of 2026! I met him there, and we did our Sadhana together in this exquisite moment. Before merging with this opportunity to be still, I felt myself listening and sweetly deepening my relationship with this pup.
Hamish is the most intelligent border collie, one who can outrun any other. Yet his sensitivity makes him the most powerfully devoted four-legged companion I have yet to meet. We experienced multiple sightings of our male moose “Hermes” and his family. Hamish looked on quietly, and with a strong couple of protective barks, we felt safe and warned. Without question, we respectfully shifted our direction. The moose family stayed with us throughout the holidays as our totem—you can learn a great deal about this in Animal-Speak by Ted Andrews.
Happy New Year, my friends. Take this time to be still and feel the gratitude of this tenth year, this radiant body, to keep yourself healthy and happy. Continue to find time in these early morning magical hours to receive. Remember: the teacher lives within you and she is so awakened to your presence, just as my dear Hamish keeps up. Let us devote ourselves to each other. Let us stop all worry, and let us howl and open our voices in truth—serenely, politely, and patiently.
I’ll see you this morning as we open up this New Year together and practice on Instagram at 9am Mountain Time. We will practice a specific breath sequence for you to start a 40-day commitment to open the channel of the number eight, the Pranic body, in relationship to your own lung capacity. We’ll widen the rib cage to allow more breath to fill your lungs and develop the power to heal thyself through Pranayam! It’s called the Victory Breath!
