Dear Yoga Family,
Firstly, as you receive this newsletter today, this happy Sunday, Happy Birthday to our dearest Teg Ranjeet.
My heart beats harder when I feel the blessings of our gathering, Teg and I. It beats more compassionately, knowing this soul has come onto this planet to serve, uplift, lean into All.
The loyalty of a gentle man shows dignity and grace, and supports every aspect of his own creativity. Taking time to explore deeper awareness in athleticism, along with breath, recognizing yoga is not athleticism, yet aware of the necessity to acknowledge it (i.e. yoga) as a spiritual practice.
When you come to see the work we do, we ask may it be a mirror to you. May it reflect prayers of the Cosmos, opening the hands, the heart. Challenging as it is, knowing it’s working through, and has to work through in it’s own way, yet there is no disconnect upon receiving (pain for example). We often think pain that arises is alien, something, somewhere else, the world coming at us. Yet, this is actually my bath, my muscle spasm, and I am not outside of this, I am with this, I am actually encouraging to release, so it doesn’t age me. This is the conversation we are having with the pain.
So here is some fun for you. Teach yourself how to do your own Numerology. A gift from Teg and Karuna.
Tantric Numerology calculates five numbers from your birth date that illuminate your relationship with self, others and destiny.
The Soul number (birth day) is the core your identity. It indicates your own internal relationship, with the innate, unlimited part of yourself. It is the key to tapping into your creativity and depth.
The Karma number (sum of the month numbers) relates to the external energy flow. It indicates the nature of your relationship with other people. It is you “test” in life.
The Gift number (sum of the last two digits of the year) describes your God-given talent, the particular body that gives you basic strength.
The Destiny number (sum of all four digits in the year) indicates the main trait that you worked on for many lifetimes, that you mastered through personal sacrifice and effort. It is how other people see you.
The Path number (sum of the soul, karma, and destiny numbers) is the key to living a fulfilled life by understanding who you are and why you are here on this planet at this time. In order for you to feel fulfilled and successful, your path is the single trait that you must manifest in your day to day life. Live your path and all else will work out naturally.
The Heart number (sum of the birthday and gift number) contains the language of your emotions, as well as what you need to have fulfilled in a relationship, especially a romantic relationship! The numbers represent different emotional dialects, and within the scope of each dialect there can be the experience of “You’re talking my language!”
This process of self-mastery in each body teaches you to consciously access all the great, powerful parts of yourself. Through the application so Tantric Numerology and the technology of Kundlaini Yoga, you have the ability to change your life.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake
Ingredients
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3½ cups cake flour, divided, plus more for pan
1½ cups packed light brown sugar, divided
1½ teaspoons kosher salt, divided
½ cup (4 oz.) chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-in. pieces
¾ cup (6 oz.) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 (8-oz.) container sour cream
Shortening, for greasing pan
Directions
Stir together pecans, cinnamon, 1 cup of the flour, 1 cup of the brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of the salt in a bowl. Add chilled butter pieces. Pinch and smear mixture between your fingers until butter is evenly incorporated and mixture starts to clump together. Cover and chill until ready to use (up to 24 hours).
Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar with a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, 4 to 5 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Stir together baking powder, baking soda, and remaining 2 1/2 cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a bowl. Add baking powder mixture to softened butter mixture alternately with sour cream in 3 additions, beginning and ending with baking powder mixture, beating on low speed until just combined after each addition.
Lightly grease a 10-inch tube pan with shortening; dust with flour. Spoon half of the sour cream batter into prepared pan; top with half of the pecan mixture. Repeat layers once using remaining sour cream batter and pecan mixture. Bake in preheated oven until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes, tenting with foil after 35 minutes if needed to prevent excessive browning. Cool cake in pan on a wire rack 15 minutes; invert cake onto wire rack, and let cool completely, about 2 hours.
